Income inequality
Is the level of economic inequality in the United States a problem, and if so, what should the federal government do to address it?
Worton: Economic inequality has grown during the short control of Congress by the Republicans. It cannot get better with recent tax cuts and additions to the deficit. The middle class will be forced to pay a debt left by the Republicans for years to come.

ACA
What should Congress do with respect to the Affordable Care Act? Should it be strengthened, and if so, how? Should it be scrapped? If so, what if anything should replace it?
Worton: Affordable care is a national priority. We are the only country in the world that penalizes a person who loses a job and also medical benefits. We also do not allow Medicare to negotiate drug prices which creates additional cost growth. We can adjust ACA and make insures participate in all markets, adjust costs to reign in premiums and make medical care better for all.

Urban policy
What role should the federal government play in helping cities like Baltimore?
Worton: The Federal Government needs to do more to promote education and address the drug crisis consuming the fabric of our country. It also needs to invest further in infrastructure for older cities to attract population and improve the tax base.

Opioids
What can Congress do to address the opioid epidemic?
Worton: Congress can address the need to extend treatment for users which currently is only 30 days - barely enough time to get through the addiction. It can also provide support for families and prosecute drug companies and illegal drug distributors. With improved treatment will come reduced costs and help the families in our country.

Worton: Immigrants formed this country. We need to make allowances for Dreamers and ste a standard policy for entrance and citizenship. The current lack of leadership by the President and Congress is deplorable.
